Help for Haitians in the Dominican Republic
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Considering the present Covid-19 pandemic circumstances and the dire needs of the unemployed Haitian believers in the Dominican Republic, who have no government support, we wish to inform you that Christians in Quebec and throughout Canada desire to send help
We have been collaborating for nearly 10 years with a Haitian couple, Wilnick and Herline Antenor who are commended to full time ministry there, with the Assemblée Chrétienne of Jardin Deportivo, Cabarete. We are able to send directly financial support for Christian families in need.
Wilnick has informed us that the believers of the little Haitian assembly wish to express the Saviour’s love to the large number of Haitian families in their region and also to some of the Dominican families. A portion of the financial support that was recently sent was used to help these families. It was an opportunity to reach many hearts in proclaiming the gospel to many.
Each bag of groceries that we hope to distribute to the families every two weeks contains a gospel pamphlet presenting God’s love through His Son Jesus Christ. Haitians are particularly confused by the mixed messages of Catholicism, Voodoo and “evangelicalism”. The Christians, who know most of their Haitian neighbours, will be able to continue to present the gospel to them. A good number have already responded positively, with much gratitude. The pamphlet also contains the telephone number of Wilnick and Herline.
